QuickBooks and QuickBridge Permissions

Before the application can transfer data into QuickBooks, the user must have adequate permission status in QuickBooks and QuickBridge or this error will appear: "Access to ________ folder is denied." Read more about QuickBooks permissions here.

Granting permission in QuickBooks Pro

  1. Navigate Company (on the Menu bar) > Set up Users and Passwords > Set Up Users.
  2. Select the user and press Edit User.
  3. Enter username and password and press Next. If logged in with admin right the user names and password will already be filled in.  
  4. In the Access for User: window select All Areas of QuickBooks.
  5. Press Next, then confirm, then press Finish.

Granting permission in QuickBooks Enterprise

  1. Navigate Company (on the Menu bar) > Users > Edit Users and Roles.
  2. Select a user.
  3. Move "Full access" from available fields to User roles columns

Granting permission in QuickBridge

As of QuickBridge V1.0.5.9, setting up QuickBridge permissions is not required. Follow the information below only if you are using older versions.
  1. Find the SellerCloud QuickBridge folder on your local PC (or wherever it is stored.) By default, it saves to: ‪C:\Program Files (x86)\SellerCloud QuickBridge.
  2. Right-click on the folder, then click Properties.
  3. Click the Security tab.
  4. Click the Edit button to change permissions.
  5. In the Group or user names section, select Administrators. It may be checked by default
  6. Check all options in the Allow column. (By default, you cannot check the Special Permissions option, but this is unnecessary for QuickBridge).
  7. In the Group or user names section, select Users. It may be checked by default.

  9. Click OK. The user can now execute a transfer, whether logged in as an administrator or a user.
