Configure FBA Integration in Sellercloud

Overview

Amazon FBA is an Amazon service that merchants can use when selling on the Amazon marketplace and fulfilling their orders through Amazon. Orders placed on other marketplaces can also be fulfilled by Amazon through Ship via FBA. Merchants ship their inventory to Amazon Fulfillment Centers and as orders are placed on Amazon, FBA will pick, pack, and ship the items – without intervention from the seller. Amazon assumes all customer service-related issues, including delivery and returns.

In this article, you will learn how to configure the FBA integration from within Sellercloud.

Configure FBA Integration in Sellercloud

  1. Integrate your Amazon account.
  2. Set your FBA warehouse. Refer to Warehouse Management to learn how to add a new warehouse and enable it for FBA.
    1. Inventory updates and orders will be imported from Amazon. Therefore, you must set a separate FBA warehouse for your integration. The FBA warehouse is associated with products that are stored at an Amazon Fulfillment Center. In general, the FBA warehouse must be set to Unsellable, which allows FBA inventory to be used for FBA orders only – and not show as aggregate quantity to other channels.
    2. If you want to fulfill FBA orders to other channels, Sellercloud offers specialized plugins. In that case, the FBA warehouse must be set to Sellable while the plugin is running. Keep in mind that some channels (such as Walmart) will not allow this. Learn how FBA inventory works.
  3. Set Channel Warehouse for FBA. It must be set in the same company as the FBA integration. If you have more than one FBA integration running in different companies, it is crucial to create different FBA warehouses and select the Channel Warehouse for each one of them. Having two FBA integrations set to the same FBA warehouse will cause the inventory imports to overlap each other with every update, and display incorrect data.
  4. If your Amazon integration is running correctly and you have the FBA warehouse set, you can enable the download of FBA orders by navigating to Settings > Companies > Manage Companies > Open a company > Toolbox > Channels > Amazon Settings > General Settings > Check Enable FBA Workflow.
  5. You can import older FBA orders into Sellercloud using Amazon Reports.
  6. You can send inventory to an Amazon Fulfillment Center by creating an FBA Inbound Shipment from within Sellercloud.
Note: Before products can be shipped to an Amazon Fulfillment Center, they must be marked as Amazon Fulfilled, and they require an FNSKU.

How does Sellercloud work with FBA?

  1. Sellercloud views FBA as a separate channel from Amazon Merchant Fulfilled: Sellercloud downloads FBA orders under an FBA channel, and the order details, such as FBA and shipping costs as well as tracking numbers, are noted on the order.
  2. Before products can be shipped to an Amazon fulfillment center, they must be marked as Amazon Fulfilled, and they require an FNSKU.
  3. An Interim warehouse and an FBA warehouse are required for FBA inventory. Inventory of inbound shipments to FBA are stored in an Interim warehouse (which should be Unsellable), and inventory received at FBA will appear in the FBA warehouse, which does not have to be Sellable, unless you want inventory to be available for Ship via FBA.
  4. Required: For orders and inventory to import, click Company Settings > Toolbox > Channel Warehouse, then click in the FBA channel dropdown and select FBA Warehouse. This limits inventory reduction of FBA orders to the FBA warehouse.
  5. Inventory reports will update inventory in the FBA warehouse about every six hours, but you can see the current inventory of any FBA item by clicking its Toolbox > Amazon Properties > Action Menu > Check Amazon FBA Qty > Go.
  6. FBA orders will not trigger automatic emails, such as order welcomes or shipping confirmations. Typically, Sellercloud only receives the FBA Orders Report after the item has already been shipped to the customer.
  7. You can send inventory to an Amazon Fulfillment Center by creating an FBA Inbound Shipment from within Sellercloud.
  8. Orders placed on other marketplaces can also be fulfilled by Amazon through Ship via FBA.
