Hayneedle Listings Management

Overview

Hayneedle is an online marketplace specializing in home improvement products and furnishings. When integrated with Hayneedle, Sellercloud lets you handle product updates for channel listings. You can push the product updates either manually or automatically by configuring the channel-specific company settings.

Additionally, you can submit updates of a single product or a bundle of products via a file import.


Prepare a Product for Hayneedle

To prepare a product for posting on Hayneedle , you should toggle the Enabled setting on the product’s Hayneedle Properties page. Follow the steps below to access this setting.

  1. Go to Catalog > Manage Catalog.
  2. Open the desired product.
  3. Click Toolbox, navigate to Channels, and select Hayneedle Properties.Hayneedle Enabled Product

Also, the product can be marked as Hayneedle Discontinued in order to temporarily send a zero quantity to the channel. Later, to resume sending inventory data to the channel, make sure this setting is deselected.


Post/Update Hayneedle Listings Automatically

Pricing updates must be negotiated with a Hayneedle buyer and manually updated. There is no option for Hayneedle to automatically update product pricing from Sellercloud.

Inventory updates are controlled by the Enable Inventory Upload setting that is configured within the company’s Hayneedle settings. To access this setting, follow the steps below.

  1. Go to Settings > Companies > Manage Companies.
  2. Open the desired company.
  3. Click Toolbox, navigate to Hayneedle Settings, and select General Settings.Hayneedle Inventory Upload

Update Hayneedle Listings Manually

From Sellercloud, you can push inventory updates of a single product or series of products.

From Product’s Hayneedle Properties Page

To update a single product for Hayneedle, follow the steps below.

  1. Go to Catalog > Manage Catalog.
  2. Open the desired product.
  3. Click Toolbox, navigate to Channels, and select Hayneedle Properties.
  4. In the upper right, click Actions and select Upload Inventory Update.Upload Inventory Update

From Manage Inventory Page

You can also manually send inventory updates either of single or multiple product(s) to the Hayneedle channel from the Manage Inventory page. To that, follow the steps below.

  1. Go to Inventory > Manage Inventory.
  2. Select the product(s) to be updated on the channel.
  3. In the bottom right, click the Actions menu and select Update Inventory on Channel.
  4. In the dialog box that appears, select the Hayneedle-enabled products you want to update, as well as the Hayneedle channel, in the Channel drop-down menu. Click Update.Update Hayneedle Inventory in Bulk
  5. The task will be submitted as a Queued Job. Once processed, the update will be sent to the Hayneedle channel server.

Update via File Import

Follow the below steps to update products on Hayneedle through a file import.

  1. Access Catalog > Tools > Import Product Info.
  2. Select the Bulk Product Update option. To get more information on how to use this option, refer to Bulk Product Update Feature.
  3. Use the columns listed in the table below when creating a template for updating products on the channel.
COLUMN HEADER DEFINITION
HayneedleDefaultQuantity Default Quantity is the number that will always be sent to the channel in inventory updates regardless of the actual available inventory
HayneedleDefaultQuantityEnabled Enables using Default Quantity which refers to Replenishable products
HayneedleDefaultQuantityUseDefault When enabled, the Default Quantity value will be used. The default parameter is configured in the company’s Hayneedle settings.
HayneedleDiscountinued  Indicates whether the product is discontinued
HayneedleDiscontinuedOn  The timestamp when the product has been set to discontinued
HayneedleEnabled Enables the product for Hayneedle. If disabled, Sellercloud will not send updates to the channel. Expected values are True or False.
HayneedleLeadTime Lead time for Hayneedle channel. The time spent on processing the purchase, preparing, and transporting it to the buyer.
HayneedleLeadTimeUseDefault When selected, the default Lead Time will be used
HayneedleListingID Links to Hayneedle product listings
HayneedleMerchantSKU The SKU of a product
HayneedlePrice Channel-specific sale price of a product
HayneedlePriceUseDefault When selected, the Site/Retail Price from the product’s home page is used for the channel
ProductChannelRestricted_Hayneedle Flags the product as Restricted on Hayneedle.
