Managing Wayfair Inventory

Automatic updates to Wayfair

SellerCloud periodically sends automatic inventory updates; this automation is controlled by Wayfair’s General Setting Enable Inventory Upload.

Pricing changes must be negotiated with a Wayfair representative. Currently, no option exists to update pricing in the inventory feeds. The Wayfair Price field on the product’s Wayfair Properties page is only for reference.

Using multiple warehouses

If you have multiple warehouses for Wayfair, use the Channel Warehouse Mapping feature.

Manually updating Wayfair

You can manually update Wayfair inventory in either of 2 ways:

  • Individually – On each product’s Wayfair Properties page, click Action Menu > Upload Inventory Update > Go
  • In bulk – On the Manage Inventory page, choose the products > click Action Menu > Update Inventory on Channel > Go > select Wayfair > Continue

Products on order

Wayfair accepts a Re-stock date for products that are On Order. If the item has On Order PO with a due date set, this information will be passed to Wayfair.

If a product is out of stock, it must be checked as Discontinued; otherwise, you need to create a Purchase Order and enter its Expected delivery time.

Replenishable products

For products marked as replenishable (product is sold regardless of the available quantity), be sure to select the Enable Default Qty setting to show two more fields:

  • Use Default (pre-selected) – Keep this selected if you want to use the Default Qty from the Wayfair Settings page; or
  • Default Qty (used for replenishable products only) – Uncheck the Use Default box and enter a specific number that will always be sent to Wayfair in inventory updates, regardless of the actual inventory available for this product

If you do not select the Enable Default Qty setting for a replenishable product, the inventory feed will only send a quantity of 1.
