Security Settings


Overview

Employee Security Settings in Sellercloud allow you to control and monitor how your employees can access data. These settings are designed to ensure that company data remains secure and confidential.

The Employee Security Settings include searches, editing, page access, log-on hours, and more. 


Manage Employee Security Settings

You can find and edit Employee Security Settings in the Company’s Security Toolbox or the Employee’s Permissions page.

Configure Company-Level Security 

You can edit specific employee security settings and restrictions under a selected company. 

  1. Navigate to Settings > Companies > Manage Companies > Select a Company.
  2. Toolbox > Security.
  3. You will see a list of the employees that have the selected company as their Default Company.
  4. Apply your security changes. You can also:
    1. Copy security settings from the current company and apply them to other employees.
    2. Select All – This will grant full permission to all employees under the specified company.
  5. Scroll down and click Apply Security.

Configure Employee-Level Security

You can apply security settings and restrictions for an employee across multiple companies. These are located within the Employee toolbox. You can get to it by going to Settings > Employees > Manage Employees > Select the Employee.

  • IP Filters
    • Displays IP-based filters. You can restrict access to specific IP locations or add new ones.
  • Login History
    • You can see Employee’s Login Sessions.
  • Permissions
    • Here, you can configure and edit Employees’ permissions regarding which sections of Sellercloud they have access to and what actions they are allowed to perform. You can also create Security Templates with pre-set permissions that allow you to set up new and existing employees more efficiently. 
  • Restricted Log-on Hours
    • You can set specific times of the day when the employee will be able to log in to Sellercloud. Client Setting Enable Employees Login Hours Restriction must be enabled.
Client Admins are the only employees who are allowed access to all areas of the system. All other employees may be restricted from certain parts of the system.

  2. Toolbox > Security.
  3. You will see a list of the employees that have the selected company as their Default Company.
  4. Apply your security changes. You can also:
    1. Copy security settings from the current company and apply them to other employees.
    2. Select All – This will grant full permission to all employees under the specified company.
  5. Scroll down and click Apply Security.

Configure Employee-Level Security 

You can apply company or shipping security settings and restrictions for an employee across multiple companies. 

Companies Page

This page allows you to either grant or deny an employee access to everything within the selected company.

  1. Navigate to Employees > Select the Employee.
  2. Select Security > Companies.
  3. Choose which companies to apply the security settings for.
  4. Once applied, scroll down and click Save.

Shipping Security Page

To apply shipping security settings for an employee across multiple companies.

  1. Navigate to Settings > Select the Employee.
  2. Select Security > Shipping Security.
  3. Choose which companies to apply the shipping security settings for.
    1. You can Select/Unselect all channels under all companies and Copy Shipping security settings to other employees as well.
  4. Scroll down and click Save.
Client Admins are the only employees who are allowed access to all areas of the system. All other employees may be restricted from certain parts of the system.
