Two Factor Authentication (2FA) in Alpha


Overview

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is required to log in to Sellercloud. This ensures that your valuable data is protected with two layers of security and that Sellercloud is in full compliance with all marketplaces.

  1. The first time you log into Sellercloud — Enter your password. A unique 6-digit verification code will be sent to you by email. Enter this code to enable 2FA. This will be valid for 30 days.
  2. Reauthenticate every 30 days after that — You can reauthenticate in three ways:
    1. Obtain a new 6-digit verification code by email.
    2. Scan a QR code provided by the Google Authenticator App on your phone to gain access. This method requires setting up the app with your Sellercloud account.\
    3. Receive a new code via SMS.

Initial Authentication with 2FA

To log into Sellercloud with 2FA:

  1. On the Log-in page, enter your credentials > Click Login.login delta sellercloud
  2. On the Two-Factor Authentication page, request a verification code:
    1. Enter the code in the Verification Code field > Login.
  3. Sellercloud’s Homepage will appear.

Configure Primary and Secondary 2FA Types

To configure your Primary and Secondary 2FA types:

  1. Go to your Account Settings > Security.
  2. In the Primary 2FA Type and Secondary 2FA Type dropdowns, choose the desired verification option: Email, Google Authenticator, or SMS.

Set Up the Google Authenticator App

  1. Download the Google Authenticator App.
  2. Select Google Auth. App from the Primary 2FA Type dropdown and follow the prompts on the screen.
  3. Press the green Save icon.google app 2fa delta

Reauthenticate Every 30 Days

You have to reauthenticate every 30 days. Reauthentication simply entails entering a new verification code that you will receive based on the 2FA type you have set up.

  1. The first time you log into Sellercloud:
    1. Enter your account password.
    2. Input the second factor, based on your chosen 2FA type. This is a unique 6-digit verification code that you will retrieve via email; via text message; or via the Google Authenticator mobile app installed on your smartphone.
  2. After 30 days (and every 30 days thereafter) – You must reauthenticate to gain access to Sellercloud.
If you change browsers, devices, or IP addresses, you will be prompted to reauthenticate before 30 days.

Initial setup of 2FA

  1.  Enter your credentials > Click Log In as shown below.

  2. On the Two-Factor Authentication page, request a verification code: Enter the code in the Verification Code field to log in.
  3. Sellercloud’s Home page will appear.

Configure Primary and Secondary 2FA types

To configure your Primary and Secondary 2FA types:

  1. Go to My Account > 2FA Settings.
  2. In the Primary 2FA Type and Secondary 2FA Type dropdowns, choose the desired verification option: Email, Google Authenticator, or SMS.
  3. Press Save Settings.

TYPE HOW IT WORKS
Email You’ll use your email to retrieve a verification code.
Google Authenticator app You’ll use the Google Authenticator app on your smart phone to retrieve a verification code.

This will require installing the Google Authenticator app on your smart phone.

SMS You’ll use text messaging on your cell phone to retrieve a verification code.

 


Reauthenticate every 30 days

Reauthentication simply entails entering a new verification code, every 30 days, that you will retrieve based on the 2FA type you have set up.
