Overview
When you ship an order you generate a Tracking number which gets automatically populated in Sellercloud. By default, as soon as there is Tracking information for an order, Sellercloud and sends it to the channel. However, having a Tracking number does not necessarily mean that the order is out for delivery or that the number is even active.
Some channels only allow you to update the order once the carrier has picked it up. This is done to avoid confusion where the customer will click on the tracking link, only to see that it has not yet been picked up. With the Delay Tracking Upload feature, you can make sure that only active Tracking is sent out and made available to your customers.
Configure Delayed Tracking Upload
In order to access the Order Delayed Tracking Settings page:
- Navigate to Settings > Orders.
- Click on Show More.
- Delayed Tracking Settings.
You will see a grid with all channels (including the ones you have not enabled). You can now configure when tracking is sent to the marketplace for each channel. You can use any combination of the following columns:
- Delay Tracking Time – set a specific time of the day after which tracking upload will be allowed. For example, if you know that the carrier will come to pick up all orders at 6 PM, you can set the time to 7 PM and ensure that all tracking numbers will have been scanned and activated.
- Min Hours to Wait – here you can set a minimum amount of hours between the moment the tracking information is entered into Sellercloud and sending it to the marketplace. For example, set this to 2. If you ship an order in ShipBridge at 4 PM, the tracking will not be uploaded to the channel until 6 PM earliest.
- Skip on Saturday – does not send tracking on Saturdays.
- Skip on Sunday – does not send tracking on Sundays.
