When selling on the European markets customers will require VAT(Value Added Tax) Invoices. More information on VAT can be found here.
There is a specialized VAT Invoice Plugin (VAT Format) in SellerCloud that can be used in case such invoice is required. The plugin can be uploaded on your server by SellerCloud Support. To set the plugin follow this guide.
Plugin Instructions
- The plugin exports VAT instead of tax. VAT rate isdetermined based on custom company setting (see below).
- Prints the VAT ID number under the company info. VAT ID is determined based on custom company setting (see below).
Custom Company Settings
Check here for instructions on how to add custom company settings.
- “VAT Rates” – here you can set the rates, calculated by percentages, per country. The accepted values are the CountryCode-Rate, separated by semicolon and without spaces. Example: “UK-18;FR-20;BG-20;”
- “VAT ID Number Per SiteCode” – sets the VAT ID number. The correct format isCountryCode-VatID, separated by semicolon and without spaces. Example: “DE-DE291778600;IT-IT00177539996;”
The country code used should be the two digit UPS Code for that country.
