In this article, you will learn how to use the various pages in Sellercloud that allow you to search and find specific information. Knowing how to best use your available options will improve your ability to find exactly what you seek quickly and effortlessly.
Dropshipping is when a seller transfers customer order and shipment details to a manufacturer rather than stocking their own goods. This takes away the need for picking, packing, shipping, and maintaining your inventory.
A Universal Product Code (UPC) is a 1-dimensional barcode displayed as a series of black bars and white spaces corresponding to a 12-digit number. Each digit in the UPC number is represented by a unique pattern of bars and spaces. UPCs are printed on retail packaging to simplify scanning, identifying, and tracking products.
In order to simplify product identification during order fulfilment, Sellercloud allows you to print product and location labels. You can customize the information you want printed on the labels.
Quote orders allow you to create orders without reserving inventory. This feature can be used to help you establish repeat customers by providing transparent rates and order costs upfront. This article shows you how to create quote orders, send quote invoices, and convert orders back to normal.
Sellercloud can mark orders with a Backorder status when a customer orders an out-of-stock item. This allows you to fulfill the order at a later time once you replenish the inventory for that product.
If an order includes customer service notes and instructions or is for products that come with warnings, these notes and warnings will require acknowledgment before the order is allowed to ship. Warnings often appear when products are subject to Proposition 65 regulations. If so, the message will appear in all orders in Shipbridge to confirm that the appropriate warning labels exist before shipping is allowed.
In Sellercloud, picklists can be generated based on warehouse, meaning that the inventory and pick quantity displayed will be based on the inventory and pick quantity available at the specified warehouse.
Shipping rates provided by your carrier are estimates based on the information available at the time of order creation. However, final shipping costs may vary due to additional services or a difference in weight and dimensions. To ensure accurate order data and Profit and Loss records, Sellercloud allows you to import updated shipping costs from each carrier.
