Groupon Marketplace Listings Management

Overview

Once you are integrated with Groupon Marketplace, you can manage updates of the products posted on the channel directly from the Sellercloud interface. Product changes can be pushed either manually or automatically.

In addition, Sellercloud allows you to update individual and multiple products via file import. Prior to updating a product on Groupon Marketplace, it must be enabled for that channel.


Prepare a Product for Groupon Marketplace

To get a product ready for Groupon Marketplace, make it Groupon-enabled by following the steps below.

  1. Go to Catalog > Manage Catalog.
  2. Open the requested product.
  3. Click Toolbox, navigate to Channels, and select Groupon Marketplace.
  4. In edit mode, select the Enabled checkbox.Groupon-Enabled Product
  5. The Groupon Marketplace Properties page is where you can also set product attributes specific to the Groupon Marketplace channel. See the definitions of the product properties in the table below.
FIELD NAME DEFINITION
Merchant SKU Displays the Merchant SKU identifier of the selected product.
Marketplace Cost Displays the cost at which you sold the product to Groupon. When an order comes in, the Sale Price will automatically adjust to the Groupon Marketplace Cost.  If nothing is entered, the cost from the groupon_cost column in the order file will be used.
Marketplace Price Displays the channel-oriented sale price of the product. Defaults to the product’s Site Price from the product’s home page. Deselect the Default checkbox to manually change that value.
Avail. Qty Reflects total inventory being currently in-stock along with the inventory available only for the Groupon Marketplace.
Safety Qty Click the Default checkbox to use the default Safety Quantity setting adjusted for the related company in the Groupon Marketplace Settings. Deselect the Default checkbox to manually change that value for an individual product.
Enable Max. Qty Select the checkbox to allow purchasing the maximum number of product items set in the Max. Qty field.
Max. Qty Set the maximum quantity required to allow purchasing of the product. To manually set the quantity, deselect the Default checkbox.

Update Products Manually

In Sellercloud, you can submit updates per each product individually or in bulk.

Individually

To modify product information for the Groupon Marketplace and manually push the changes, follow the steps below.

  1. Go to Catalog > Manage Catalog.
  2. Open the requested product.
  3. Click Toolbox, navigate to Channels, and select Groupon Marketplace.
  4. Alternatively, to open the Groupon Marketplace Properties page, click the Groupon Marketplace icon on the Manage Catalog page (see figure below).product's Groupon icon
  5. Once changes are made, click Actions, and select Update Inventory/Cost on Groupon Marketplace.Update inventory and cost of product on Groupon Marketplace

Update via File Import

Follow the below steps to update a product on Groupon Marketplace via file import.

  1. Access Catalog > Tools > Import Product Info.
  2. Select the Bulk Product Update option. To get more information on how to use this option, refer to Bulk Product Update Feature.
  3. Use the columns listed in the table below when creating a template for updating products on the channel.
COLUMN HEADER DEFINITION
GrouponMarketplace_AllowBackOrder Use to allow marking an order with the BackOrder status once a customer orders an unavailable item.
ProductChannelRestricted_GrouponMarketplace Flags the product as Restricted on the Groupon marketplace.

Adjust Automatic Updates

To initiate regular product updates on an automatic basis, make the following adjustments.

  1. Go to Settings > Companies Manage Companies.
  2. Open the company for which you want to configure automatic product updates on the Groupon Marketplace channel.
  3. Click Toolbox, navigate to Groupon Marketplace, and select General Settings.
  4. In the upper right, click Edit.
  5. On the Groupon Marketplace General Settings panel, select the Enable Inventory Upload setting.
  6. Click Save.Enable Inventory Upload for Groupon

To access these settings, go to Settings > Client Settings > General Client Settings > Channels.

COLUMN HEADER DEFINITION
Enable Custom Inventory calculation for Groupon Marketplace Enable to use custom calculation for inventory, and allow Sellercloud to send a custom quantity value to the Groupon channel.
