You can use Custom Inventory Calculations in the calculation of a product’s channel inventory. This is useful because, for example with Amazon, you can send your inventory to just one warehouse (Channel Warehouse) and set Safety Quantity, whereas with Custom Inventory Calculations you can create any calculations for the channel’s inventory. With the help of these, you can set strictly defined rules for calculating the inventory of a given channel.
The biggest advantage is that there are no restrictions on the possibilities for these custom calculations, and they can be configured in any way you desire.

To obtain Custom Inventory Calculations, contact Sellercloud Support with your requirements. Building any type of new customization is billable. The cost will depend on the complexity of the customization. Once we provide a quote, we will only bill you after receiving written approval of the quote.
Once your custom inventory calculations are created by Sellercloud, enable the client setting Enable Custom Inventory Calculation for [Channel] from Settings > Client Settings > General Client Settings > Channels > Enable Custom Inventory Calculation for [Channel].
In a product’s Channel Properties page, this calculator icon indicates that the feature is enabled:
Attached below are several sample SQL scripts used for Amazon.com:
- Sample 010: The client does not want to offer a Fulfilled by Merchant listing if that same listing has an active Fulfilled by Amazon offering with available inventory. Sellercloud already knows which FBA listings have positive inventory, looks that up while sending inventory for the MFN listings, and zeroes them out until the FBA listing runs out of stock. We also have to consider only FBA inventory from the same country and total the FBA inventory that could be distributed among multiple SKUs. CustomInventoryCalculationSample_010
- Sample 011: The client wants the FBA inventory to be considered sellable and to be included in the aggregate quantity for selling on eBay but does not want to include it when sending MFN inventory. CustomInventoryCalculationSample_011
- Sample 012: The client wants the FBA inventory to be considered sellable and to be included in the aggregate quantity only if an IsFBASellable checkbox is selected on each product. CustomInventoryCalculationSample_012
- Sample 013: The client wants to allocate percentages for each channel, so we show a page where they can configure each percentage. The stored procedure considers that while calculating the inventory it will send to the channel. CustomInventoryCalculationSample_013
