Tracking Order Delivery Status


Overview

Sellercloud can automatically check an order’s delivery status based on the tracking number and mark orders as delivered using the carrier’s API credentials. The tracking service only works for orders shipped through your account. This excludes FBA orders and Ship Via FBA orders.


Configure Order Delivery Date Tracking

  1. The Enable Order shipment tracking API client setting must be enabled to retrieve the Delivery Status automatically.
  2. The OrderShipmentTrackingService  web service must be running on your cloud environment. This service can be activated by Sellercloud Support.
  3. Enter API credentials for each applicable carrier on the Shipping API page.
    To configure them, navigate to Settings > Manage Companies > select a company > Toolbox > Shipping API.

Manage Order Delivery Status

You can view the delivery status on orders, filter existing orders by delivery status, and update the delivery status manually.

The Delivery Status on Orders will be available under the Statuses panel on the Order Details page.

Once the shipping API credentials are configured, you can manually check the order delivery status:

  1. On the Order Details page, go to Actions > Query Shipping Delivery Status.Query delivery status
  2. A message with the Package ID, Tracking Number, and Delivery Status will be generated.

Note the following:

  • The tracking service only works for orders shipped through your account. This excludes FBA orders and Ship Via FBA orders.
  • USPS, FedEx, and UPS will return an actual delivery date, and the Delivered status on the order will be updated.
  • The tracking service runs daily at approximately 3 AM, 6 AM, and 6 PM EST. It looks for delivery orders up to 30 days old.
  • If there are multiple packages, the delivery date will be overwritten by the date of the most recent delivered package.

Set Delivery Status Manually

To change the delivery status in Sellercloud:

  1. Go to Orders > Manage Orders > select an order.
  2. On the Order Details page, go to Actions > Set Not Delivered.Set not delivered
    Similarly, you can set the order to Delivered using the Set Delivered action.

After an order is delivered, Sellercloud retrieves the delivery date from the carrier and places it on the Order Status grid. (You can also click on the actual tracking number to link to the tracking page on the carrier’s website.)

If there was a delivery exception, the status will show as Undeliverable, with the exception noted in the order notes.

You can filter for orders by delivery status from the Delivered drop-down field:

Tracking an order’s delivery date

  1. The OrderShipmentTrackingService must be running on your cloud environment. This service can be activated by SellerCloud Support.
  2. Select and save Enable Order shipment tracking API in the Client Settings.
  3. Enter API credentials for each applicable carrier on the Shipping API page.

You can also manually set an order’s delivery status by choosing Enable Delivery Verification Workflow in the Client Settings. When enabled, there will be two actions on the order’s detail page: Set Delivered and Set Undelivered.
