Auto-updating ShipBridge

ShipBridge is a fast-developing application with frequently released updates. Auto-updating helps you keep your ShipBridge up-to-date.

When ShipBridge gets a new update, the Update available! icon appears near the Help menu at the top left corner of the application.

To update ShipBridge, follow the steps below.

  1. Click the Update available! icon.
  2. After the window appears, click Yes:
  3. Wait while the update is downloading.
  4. Click Next. We recommend you choose the default  Automatically close the application setting.
  5. Select additional tasks > Next.
  6. Click Install.
  7. Wait for the installation to complete.
  8. Click Finish.

Verifying your ShipBridge version 

Your current ShipBridge version is shown on the top left corner of the application window. Also, you can find the same information in the Help menu. 

  • Help > About Current ShipBridge version

 

The ShipBridge version will be shown in the bottom left corner of the pop-up window: 

If the number of a release shown in the top row of the Release History table on the Sellercloud Portal is higher than that one on the pop-up window, you need to update your ShipBridge.


Updating ShipBridge manually

The Checking for updates section of this article explains where you can find all the necessary release information.

All you have to do to update your ShipBridge manually is to download a new version and then install it following the steps listed below. You don’t need to uninstall the outdated version of ShipBridge to update it, just close the application before starting the new version installation. In case you start the new version installation with your old ShipBridge running, the installation manager will prompt you to close the application.

To update Shipbridge you should perform the following steps: 

  1. Download the latest version from the Sellercloud Support Portal.
  2. Manually install the new version.

ShipBridge gets updated regularly with the latest features and improvements. 

You can download the latest ShipBridge version from the SellerCloud Support Portal.

On this page, only the most recent version is shown. So in case you are looking for some older version, go to the Release History page by clicking on the application name. The Release History page contains information on the current and previous releases, including the version number, release summary, and release date. The latest version is shown in the top row.


Checking for updates manually

You can check for the ShipBridge updates using the following Help menu option: 

  • Help > Check for updates 

 

After you click Check for updates, the Sellercloud ShipBridge Release History page will open in a new browser tab. This page will show all the ShipBridge releases with the latest one on top of the table. We recommend using the latest release to update your ShipBridge. In case you are not sure which version of ShipBridge you are currently using and whether it is the latest one, read the Verifying your ShipBridge version section of this article.

Installing a new version manually

You can install a new ShipBridge version following the steps: 

  1. Run the ShipBridgeSetup-<version>.exe file. 
  2. On the Select Additional Tasks screen, both shortcut options are checked by default. Uncheck if needed. Then click the Next button. 3. Verify the settings and then click Install. 4. Finish the installation.
