Build.com Account Integration

Overview

Build.com is an e-commerce platform specializing in home improvement and construction products. They offer a wide range of items, including plumbing fixtures, lighting, hardware, appliances, and more for DIY projects and home improvement needs.

Integrating Build.com allows you to sell on their platform from Sellercloud. This integration works through EDI documents transmitting information between the two services. The following plugins are currently available in Sellercloud:

  • Order Import – Imports orders from Build.com to Sellercloud in EDI 850 format.
  • Order Acknowledgement – Sends order acknowledgment to Build.com in EDI 855 format.
  • Tracking Export  – Exports tracking information to Build.com in EDI 856 format.
  • Invoice Export – Exports invoices to Build.com in EDI 810 format.
  • Inventory Export – Exports inventory to Build.com in EDI 846 format.

If necessary, you can contact Sellercloud Support to request additional customizations or other plugins for this integration.

To have a dedicated representative complete the testing for your account and ensure that the setup is configured correctly, we recommend Premium Support.

Optionally, you can enable only specific products for Build.com by setting their Build_Enabled Custom Column for Products to True:

  • For one product at a time: go to the Product Details Page > click Toolbox and select Custom Columns > click Edit, update the Build_Enabled column, and Save.
  • For multiple products in bulk: follow the steps to Bulk Update Products and use the Build_Enabled column – set it to True for all products you want to enable.

Unlike core integrations, plugin integrations don’t require products to be in the company with the scheduled tasks. The export will include the products you select with your Saved Search.

Next, create a Saved Search for products filtered by Build_Enabled True. Optionally, you can add more filters to the search to narrow down the export further.
