Order Types

The Requires Attention status within Sellercloud helps you easily flag and identify orders that need special attention, potentially have issues, or require special handling to ensure a smooth fulfillment process. Orders can be flagged as Requires Attention in specific situations, such as when dealing with backorders, corrupted orders, or when there is insufficient quantity available to fulfill the order.

Sellercloud can mark orders with a Backorder status when a customer orders an out-of-stock item. This allows you to fulfill the order at a later time once you replenish the inventory for that product.

Quote orders allow you to create orders without reserving inventory. This feature can be used to help you establish repeat customers by providing transparent rates and order costs upfront. This article shows you how to create quote orders, send quote invoices, and convert orders back to normal.

In this article, you will learn how to Void Orders. Voided orders are very similar to deleted orders – they don’t display in regular order searches, reports, etc. However, they remain in Sellercloud and their status can be changed back at any time. Such orders have their Order Status set to Void.

Sellercloud offers gift orders functionality, which allows you to enter gift messages, add gift wrapping, and calculate gift wrapping fees. Order Subtypes allow you to identify orders based on their shipping speed, channel-specific order types, and internal order types. For example, you could filter by subtype when creating a Saved Search to identify which orders are Prime, have priority shipping, and more.

Unknown Product Orders are orders that include at least one SKU that doesn’t currently exist in Sellercloud. If you have active listings that do not have a corresponding Sellercloud product, they get imported with orders and flagged as an Unknown Product.

By default, unpaid orders are not brought into Shipbridge for processing. However, you have the option to customize your settings to allow selected unpaid orders to be shipped, either based on customer preferences or specific order criteria.
