Enabling ShipBridge Security Pin

Understanding the security pin

Sellercloud generates a security pin to protect your sensitive information on ShipBridge. With the security pin, your information is given an extra layer of protection. You also have the option to use the pin to restrict certain actions


Configuring the security pin

  1. Go to Settings > Manage  Companies > Select your company.

  2. Go to the Toolbox > Click Shipping.Shipping button
  3. Go to Security Pin > Enter a security code. The code must be 4-8 numeric characters. Please note that if no value is entered, then no pin will be required for any actions in ShipBridge.

  4. Check any restrictions
  5. Click Save Settings.

Understanding the restrictions

You have a number of restrictions that you can check when configuring your pin. This will require your pin for certain actions, and gives you another level of safety. For example, if you check Lock Options tab, then your pin will be required before you can make any modifications to your options tab. 

Here’s a table with that describes all the possible restrictions:

RESTRICTION DESCRIPTION
Lock Options tab When enabled, you must enter your security pin to modify any setting in the options menus.
Lock Fully Shipped tab When enabled, you must enter your security pin to access the Fully Shipped tab.
Lock Address Validation When enabled, you must enter your security pin to validate addresses.
Lock Package manager When enabled, you must enter your security pin to open the Package Manager.

To access the Package Manager: Right click on an order > Edit Packages

Lock Rate Calculator When enabled, you must enter your security pin to open the Rate Calculator.

To access the rate calculator: Go to Menu > Rate Calculator, or right click an order > Calculate Rates, or click F6 on your keyboard.

Require PIN for Receive Bridge When enabled, you must enter your security pin to use ReceiveBridge.
Lock “Unship” action When enabled, you must enter your security pin to unship any orders that have been shipped from the ShipBridge grid and menus.
Lock Address When enabled, you must enter your security pin to change addresses.
Lock Shipping Method When enabled, you must enter your security pin to change the shipping method.
Lock Edit Order When enabled, you must enter your security pin to edit an order.

To edit an order: Right click an order > Edit Order.  

Lock Filters When enabled, you must enter your security pin to edit the Filters grid.
