Add Product Promotions
Newegg.com allows you to receive subsidies and create product volume discounts, similar to channels such as eBay.
A subsidy provides you with credit for selling specific items at reduced prices. For instance, if Newegg wants to feature a particular cell phone on their platform, they may negotiate with the merchant to offer the phone at $50 off the phone’s actual price. In this case, Newegg would offer the phone at a reduced price and would then credit $50 for each sale, covering the difference.
In contrast, a volume discount is a decrease in the price of a product based on the ordered quantity. This type of discount offers an incentive for customers to purchase larger quantities. This is how volume discounts appear on Newegg.com:
Keep these details in mind:
- It can take some time for Newegg to process the updates.
- The volume discount will not be available if an ongoing promotion’s price is less than the Volume Discount 1 price.
- Volume discounts are only available when shipping to the United States.
You can configure Newegg.com promotions for your SKUs individually or in bulk:
Individually
- Go to the Product Details page.
- Click Toolbox and select Newegg.com Properties.
- To add a subsidy, check Subsidy Enabled and configure the settings below:
- To add a discount and free shipping based on the quantity ordered, choose Enable Volume Discount and configure the settings below:
- Volume discount Quantity – the quantity that must be ordered to apply a discount.
- Price – the discounted price for that specific item quantity.
- Free Shipping – whether to include free shipping or not.
