Ready Products for Posting


Overview

Before posting a product on a channel, add the required channel-specific information to the product so that it becomes ready to post. You can check if your product has missing information in Sellercloud and if it does, you can add it manually or through a file import.


Ready Products for Posting Individually

To see what information is missing before a product is ready to be posted:

  1. Go to Catalog > Manage Catalog > Select a product > Toolbox > Channel > Channel Properties (e.g. eBay Properties).
  2. In the General panel, hover over the i icon in the Ready to Post field to see the missing information for the product.
  3. You can then manually add the missing information for the product. This will make it ready for posting.The image shows the Ready to Post field.

Ready Products for Posting in Bulk

You can prepare products for posting in bulk by exporting the missing information for each channel and updating it using a file import.

To export the products’ channel missing information:

  1. Go to Catalog > Manage Catalog, and select the products.
  2. Press the Action icon and select Export Channel Missing Information.
  3. Choose a channel.
  4. Press Export to generate the queued job.
  5. Click on the job link to monitor its progress.
  6. On the Queued Job, press Download output file when the job is completed.

  7. Open the file and populate the missing information, then save the file.

If any selected items are ready for the channel, they will be excluded from the output file. If all selected items are ready for the channel, no output file will be produced.

To import the product channel’s missing information:

  1. Go to Catalog > Tools > Import Product Info.
  2. From the Import Data panel, select Bulk Product Update.
  3. In the Bulk Product Update panel, click on File and upload the saved file.
  4. Click Upload.
  5. A queued job is scheduled. Click on the link to monitor it.
    Not all missing information can be added through the bulk update option. Some of it can be added only manually or through the other options on the Import Product Info page (e.g., product images, channel attributes, eBay item specifics, and Shopify Metafields.)

Launch Products on Channels

After your products are ready for posting, you can launch them on your chosen channel. However, make sure your account is properly integrated into Sellercloud first. If you wish to perform other channel-specific actions in bulk, please refer to our article about managing channel listings.

Launch Listings from Manage Catalog

You can select one or multiple products to launch on your chosen retail channel.

  1. Access Catalog > Manage Catalog > Select your products.
  2. Click action menu > Launch on Channel.
  3. Select your channel > Launch.

Launch Individual Listings from Product Details

  1. Go to Catalog > Manage Catalog, and select your product.
  2. Click Toolbox > Select your channel.
  3. Select Actions > Post.

Overview

To help you prepare a product for posting on channels, you can export a file of required information that is missing from the product. You can then populate those values and import them into SellerCloud using a bulk update.


Ready Products for Posting Individually

To see what information is missing for a product to be ready to be posted:

  1. Go to Inventory > Manage Inventory > Select a product > Toolbox > Channel Properties (e.g. eBay Properties).
  2. Hover over the Red X icon at the top-right corner to see the missing information for the product.
  3. You can then manually add the missing information for the product. This will make it ready for posting.The image shows the Ready To Post icon in Alpha.

Ready Products for Posting in Bulk

You can ready products for posting in bulk by exporting the missing information for each channel and updating it using a file import.

To export the products’ channel missing information:

  1. Select any number of products from the Manage Inventory page.
  2. Press the Action icon > Export Channel Missing Information and choose a channel.The image shows the Channel drop-down menu.
  3. Press Continue to generate the queued job. Click on the link to monitor the progress and access the output file.
    If any selected items are ready for the channel, they will be excluded from the output file.
    If all selected items are ready for the channel, no output file will be produced.
  4. Open the file and populate the missing information
  5. Save the file.

To import the products’ channel missing information:

1. Open Bulk Update Products under the Inventory tab.
2. Select the file and the file type.
3. Click Submit.

Not all missing information can be added through the bulk update option. Some of it can be added only manually or through the other options on the Import Product Info page (e.g., product images, channel attributes, eBay item specifics, Shopify Metafields, etc.)
