SMTP Settings

Overview

With Sellercloud, you can seamlessly connect existing email accounts and use them to email your customers both individually and in bulk from a unified interface.

In this article, you will learn how to connect an email account to Sellercloud using SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) – the standard way to transmit emails over the Internet. Additionally, you’ll discover SMTP details for the most popular email providers, which allow emails to be sent from an external source. If you use Memaila, you can also use your Memaila email address to send emails from Sellercloud.

SMTP Setup

Most email providers use SMTP to enable sending messages from external applications. By configuring your SMTP settings in Sellercloud, you can send outgoing emails directly through the platform. You can set up default Company SMTP Settings, as well as create additional SMTP profiles for different workflows.

When sending emails using an Email Template, Sellercloud automatically replaces the template’s Sender Email with the address of the currently logged-in user. Therefore, the SMTP profile’s credentials must either match the user’s email or sending on behalf of that user must be allowed through your email service provider.

Company SMTP Settings

To configure default Company SMTP settings:

  1. Navigate to Company Settings.
  2. Click Toolbox and select Email Settings > SMTP Settings.
  3. Click Edit and fill out the following SMTP Settings fields:
    • Use Memaila Account – This option allows you to connect a Memaila account to Sellercloud and send emails from it. Learn more in the Memaila Account section.
    • From Name – The name associated with the sending email address.

  5. Click Save.
