Google Shopping Product Properties and Actions


Overview

With Sellercloud, you can add and update all the attributes and inventory settings for your products’ listings on the Google Merchant Center.


Google Shopping Product Properties

Access the settings by navigating to Catalog Manage Catalog > Open a product > Toolbox > Google Shopping.

An asterisk (*) means that the field is required for the product to be listing-ready.

General

SETTING/PROPERTY DESCRIPTION
Enabled* Select to send available inventory to Google automatically. If unselected, the product is still included in updates but with zero quantity.
Active Listing ID When you click Actions and select Post Product to Google Shopping to create the listing, Sellercloud pulls the unique listing ID into this field.
Merchant SKU This SKU is sent to Google for orders, inventory updates, etc. If it’s blank, the product ID is used instead.
Ready to Post Yes or No. When No, click to open a pop-up listing the missing attributes you need to add to be able to post the product on Google Shopping.
Listing Expiration Date When the product is listed on Google Shopping, this date gets set to 30 days in the future.
Enable Auto Relist Product If this box is checked, the product will be automatically relisted if the Listing Expiration Date is less than the current time stamp. This setting is enabled by default.
UPC For Channel The product’s Universal Product Code (UPC) on Google Shopping.

Pricing

SETTING/PROPERTY DESCRIPTION
Price* The product price on Google Shopping. Click Default to pull Google Shopping Price from the Site Price on the Product Details page.
Price for Google Shopping The product’s price from your website listing.
Sale Price An advertised product sale price.
Sale Price Start Date A date for the Sale Price to start.
Sale Price End Date A date for the Sale Price to end.

Listing Details

PROPERTY DESCRIPTION
Title* The title of the product on Google Shopping.
Description* The description of the product on Google Shopping.
Link* The public URL linking to the product page on your website. Not required if:

Taxonomy Click Select Taxonomy to choose from a list of pre-defined categories.
Brand The product’s brand.
Color The product’s color.
MPN The Manufacturer Part Number. Corresponds to the Manufacturer SKU on the Product Details page.
Age Group The age group the product is intended for.
Gender The gender the item is intended for.
Product Type You can include your own product categorization system in your product data. For example, you can use product type to organize bidding and reporting in your Google Ads Shopping campaign.
Condition Select the item’s condition from the dropdown.
Size System Your product’s sizing system.
Size Type Your product’s size type, describing its cut.
Sizes Your product’s standardized size. Comma separated, e.g., XL, L, M.
Custom Label 0 – Custom Label 4 Filters for your Shopping campaigns. For example, you can label a group of products as seasonal, clearance, etc.

Inventory

SETTING DESCRIPTION
Channel Qty The total product quantity available for Google Shopping.
Avail Qty The total available product quantity.
Safety Qty* A quantity to subtract from the Avail Qty to prevent overselling. This amount won’t be included in the inventory feed. Choose Default to pull the Safety Qty from your company’s Google Company Settings > Google Shopping > General settings. This will override the value in the Safety Qty field.
Enable Default Qty (In Case of Replenishable) Displays a Default Qty field and Default checkbox. Default quantity only applies to replenishable products. For these products, the default quantity is the amount that will always be sent to the channel in inventory updates, regardless of the actual available inventory.
Inventory Last Sent The last date when the inventory was sent to Google Shopping.
Replenishable Enable for SKUs that are consistently restocked or tend to restock quickly. It allows your listings to remain active and prevents you from missing out on potential sales, especially for hot-selling products.

Shipping

SETTING DESCRIPTION
Shipping Template Set one of the shipping templates you created for Google Shopping.
Min Handling Time* The minimum time from order placement to shipment. Check Default to pull Min Handling Time from Company Settings > Google Shopping > General Settings.
Max Handling Time* The maximum time from order placement to shipment. Check Default to pull Min Handling Time from Company Settings > Google Shopping > General Settings.

Destinations

DESTINATION DESCRIPTION
Shopping Ads Allow your products to show in Shopping ads.
Buy On Google Listings
Allow your products to show in Buy on Google listings.
Display Ads Allow your products to show in dynamic remarketing ads. These contain specific product info tailored to a customer’s previous site activity.
Local Inventory Ads Allow your products to show in ads to shoppers near your store.
Free Listings Allow your products to appear in free listings on Google.
Free Local Listings  Allow your local products to appear in free local product listings on Google.

Manage Google Shopping Product Fields

You can update your Google Shopping product information in Sellercloud manually for one product at a time or in bulk.

Individually

To update a single product’s Google Shopping details in Sellercloud:

  1. Go to a Product Details page.
  2. Click Toolbox and select Google Shopping.
  3. Click Edit, update the product, and click Save.

In Bulk

  1. Open the Export Product Information article and follow the instructions in the Custom Export section.
  2. In the pop-up window for the custom export configuration, search for ‘GoogleExpress’ to find the Google Shopping fields. If you can’t find a column, it may be disabled for Bulk Updates and Custom Exports – ask Sellercloud Support to enable it for you. The required columns are:
    1. GoogleExpressEnabled
    2. GoogleExpressPrice and GoogleExpressPriceUseDefault
    3. GoogleExpressTitle
    4. GoogleExpressDescription
    5. GoogleExpressLink
    6. GoogleExpressSafetyQty and GoogleExpressSafetyQtyUseDefault
    7. GoogleExpressMinHandlingTime and GoogleExpressMinHandlingTimeUseDefault
    8. GoogleExpressMaxHandlingTime and GoogleExpressMaxHandlingTimeUseDefault
  3. Optionally, you can add other columns.
  4. Export the custom template and fill it out.
  5. Follow the Bulk Update Products steps to upload the template.


Actions

For Google Shopping product actions:

  1. Go to a Product Details page.
  2. Click Toolbox and select Google Shopping.
  3. Click Actions and select:
    1. Post Product to Google Shopping – To post or update the product listing. Sellercloud pulls a unique listing ID into the Active Listing ID field.
    2. Revise Price & Inventory to Google Shopping – To update the product’s current price and available quantities on its Google Shopping listing.
    3. Restrict/Unrestrict For Channel – To Restrict or unrestrict the product for Google Shopping.
    4. Update Images to Google Shopping – To send the product images in Sellercloud to Google Shopping.

When you perform a Post or Revise action, Sellercloud sends the update immediately, but the information may not reflect on Google destinations for up to two hours.

Bulk Actions

  1. Go to Catalog > Manage Catalog.
  2. Select products.
  3. Click the Actions icon and select:
    1. Launch on ChannelTo post or update the Google Shopping listing.
    2. Update Prices on ChannelTo update the product’s price on the Google Shopping listing.
    3. Update Inventory on Channel – To update the product’s inventory on Google Shopping.
    4. Restrict/Unrestrict For Channel – To Restrict or unrestrict the product for Google Shopping.
    5. Update Images On ChannelTo send the product images in Sellercloud to Google Shopping.

Search Products by Google Shopping Status

To find products by their Google Shopping status:

  1. Go to Catalog > Manage Catalog.
  2. Click Add Filter and select Google Shopping Statuses.
  3. Click Google Shopping Statuses and select a status.
  4. Click Search. Optionally, you can save this view for future use.

Google Shopping Product Properties

You can access the Google Shopping properties by navigating to Inventory > Open a product > Toolbox > Google Shopping.

Manage Google Shopping Product Fields

You can update your Google Shopping product information in Sellercloud individually or in bulk.

Individually

To update a single product’s Google Shopping details in Sellercloud:

  1. Go to a Product Details page.
  2. Click Toolbox and select Google Shopping.
  3. Update the product and click Save.

In Bulk

To bulk update products’ Google Shopping details in Sellercloud:

  1. Open the Export Product Information article and follow the instructions in the Custom Export section.
  2. On the next page for template creation, search for ‘GoogleExpress’ to find the Google Shopping fields. If you can’t find a column, it may be disabled for Bulk Updates and Custom Exports – ask Sellercloud Support to enable it for you. The required columns are:
    1. GoogleExpressEnabled
    2. GoogleExpressPrice and GoogleExpressPriceUseDefault
    3. GoogleExpressTitle
    4. GoogleExpressDescription

Search Products by Google Shopping Status

To find products by their Google Shopping status: 

  1. Go to Inventory > Manage Inventory.
  2. Click Advanced Search.
  3. Click Google Shopping and select a status.
  4. Click Search. Optionally, you can save this view for future use.
