Qty Sold by Channel Summary

Overview

In this article, you will learn about Sellercloud’s Quantity Sold By Channel Summary report. This report summarizes the product quantity sold per channel and across all channels for a specific period. It also shows sales information and the currently available and on-order product quantities. You can see:

  • Product Information: Product Name, SKU, ASIN, UPC, Product Group, and Company.
  • Quantity Information: On Order, Available Quantity, and Quantity Sold.
  • Sales Information: Average Selling Price, Total Sales, and Total Discounts.
  • Channel Information: Quantity Sold By Channel Columns.

Quantity Sold By Channel Summary provides the quantity sold per channel, along with summaries of the number of units, orders, and total sales. The similar Quantity Sold By Channel Detail report provides a more detailed per-channel breakdown in the form of sales amounts and number of orders, in addition to the same units per channel information that is displayed in the Quantity Sold by Channel Summary.

You can run this report automatically on a regular basis with Scheduled Tasks.

Access and Customize the Report

To use the report:

  1. Go to Reports > Sales > Qty Sold by Channel Summary.
  2. Select your date filters (Date Range or Date), and be sure to choose the right Date Type filter for your search. This filter affects which orders are returned by the search. Select Order to see orders placed in the selected range or Ship to see orders shipped in the selected range.
  3. Set up the other Default or Custom filters for the report to show precisely what you need.
  4. Click Search. Each filter you apply gets highlighted in orange, and after you click Search, it turns green. If a filter is gray or not displayed at all, it’s not active.
  5. To manage the columns in the report, click the three dots icon on the top right and select Customize Columns. You can:
    1. Reorder columns by dragging them up or down in the list;
    2. Hide columns by clicking the Trash icons;
    3. Add columns by clicking Add column.
  6. To sort the data differently, use the Sort by menu.
  7. To save your filtering and sorting options, click Save view, type a Name, and click Save.
  8. To export the full report to a spreadsheet, click Actions on the bottom right and select Export to Excel. You can also export to CSV or PDF.

Filter Definitions

Default Filters

Filter Description
Company Include only products with sales from one or more Companies.
Channel Include only products with sales from one or more sales Channels.
Date Range Select a preset time range from Yesterday to Last Year.
Date Enter the Start and End dates. For a single date, choose the same Start and End date.
Date Type Choose a date type based on which orders and their associated activity appear in the report:

  • Ship – View all product sales activity where the Ship Date is in your selected range.
  • Order – View all product sales activity where the Order Date is in your selected range.

Custom Filters

Filter Description
ASIN Search by ASIN.
Brand Include only products from one or more Brands.
Company Group Include only products with sales from one or more Company Groups.
Exclude Dropship Inventory Exclude information about Dropship inventory from the report.
Include Discount in Selling Price Choose whether to include discounts in the Average Selling Price report data.
Manufacturer Include only products from one or more Manufacturers.
Product Types Include only products from one or more Product Types.
Purchaser Include only products with a specific user assigned as Purchaser.
SKU Search by one or more SKUs. For Shadow Products, this filter is dependent on the Use Original ProductID filter.
Use Original Product ID (shadow) For Shadow Products, select Yes for the report to show the original shadow SKU the item was sold under. Select No to see only parent SKUs.
Vendor Include only products that have their Default Vendor set to any of the selected. For Dropship orders, this will be the vendor that the products were actually purchased from.

Report Data

Column Field Data Description
SKU ProductID Shows the product’s SKU. For Shadow Products, this column depends on the Use Original ProductID Custom Filter.
On Order OnOrder Shows the number of units that are currently unreceived on open POs.
Available Qty InventoryAvailableQty Shows the current number of units available for sale.
Average Selling Price Average Unit Price Shows the average selling price per unit.
Qty Sold Sum of Qty Shows the number of product units sold.
Total Sales Sum of GrandTotal Shows the total sum of all sales.
All Channel Columns Qty Sold per Channel These columns show the quantity sold by channel.
ASIN ASIN Shows the product’s Amazon Standard Identification Number (ASIN).
Company CompanyID The Company the product belongs to.
Product Group Product Group Shows the Product Group.
Product Name ProductName Shows the product’s name.
Product Type ProductTypeName Shows the Product Type.
Total Discounts Sum of Discount Shows the total amount of discounts applied to the orders.
UPC UPC Shows the product’s Universal Product Code (UPC).
You can add columns listed with an asterisk (*) to the grid by following the instructions outlined in step 5 of the Access and Customize the Report section.
