Qty Sold by Product

Overview

In this article, you will learn about Sellercloud’s Qty Sold By Product report. This report summarizes the quantity sold of each product in a specific period and provides additional information. You can see the following:

  • Sales information: Orders, Quantity Sold, Sales, Subtotal, Shipping Cost, and Commission.
  • Inventory information: On Order, Available Quantity, Reserved Quantity, and Physical Quantity.

    Inventory information in the report always reflects your current inventory at the time of generating the report, regardless of the date range of your search.
  • Product information: Product Name, Product Type, SKU, ASIN, Manufacturer, Manufacturer SKU, Vendor, Purchaser, Condition, and Package Weight.
You can run this report automatically on a regular basis with Scheduled Tasks.

Access and Customize the Report

To use the report:

  1. Go to Reports Sales > Qty Sold By Product.
  2. Select your date filters (Date Range or Date), and be sure to choose the right Date Type filter for your search. This filter affects which orders are returned by the search. Select Order to see orders placed in the selected range or Ship to see orders shipped in the selected range.
  3. Set up the rest of the Default or Custom filters to have the report show precisely what you need.
  4. Click Search. Each filter you apply gets highlighted in green. If a filter is gray or not displayed at all, it’s not active.
  5. To manage the columns in the report, click the three dots icon on the top right and select Customize Columns. You can:
    1. Reorder columns by dragging them up or down in the list;
    2. Hide columns by clicking the Trash icons;
    3. Add columns by clicking Add column.
  6. To sort the data differently, use the Sort by menu.
  7. To save your filtering and sorting options, click Save view, type a Name, and click Save.
  8. To export the full report to a spreadsheet, click Actions on the bottom right and select Export to Excel. Spreadsheet exports include the Commission column, which doesn’t appear in the report’s web UI.

Filter and Column Definitions

Default Filters

Filter Description
Company Include only orders from one or more Companies.
Channel Include only orders from one or more sales Channels.
Date Range Select a preset time range from Yesterday to Last Year.
Date Enter the Start and End dates. For a single date, choose the same Start and End date.
Date Type Choose how to reflect orders and their associated activity:

  • Ship – View all orders and their associated activity where the ship date is in your selected range.
  • Order – View all shipped orders and their associated activity where the order date is in your selected range.

Custom Filters

Filter Description
Brands Include only products from one or more Brands.
Company Groups Include only products from one or more Company Groups.
Exclude Dropship Exclude information about Dropship inventory from the report.
Manufacturer Include only products from one or more Manufacturers.
MarketingSource Include only products from one marketing source.
Product Group Include only products from one or more Product Groups.
Product Type Include only products from one or more Product Types.
Purchaser Include only products with a specific user assigned as Purchaser.
SKU Include only one or more SKUs.
Ship From Warehouse Include only orders shipped from one or more Warehouses.
Show Products By Kit Component SKU For Kit Products, select Yes to show the Kits’ Component SKUs. Otherwise, the kits’ parent SKUs are shown by default. This works for all kit types.
Use Original Product ID For Shadow Products, select Yes for the report to show the shadow SKUs of the order items. Select No to show parent SKUs.
Vendor Include only products that have their Default Vendor set to any of the selected. For Dropship orders, this will be the vendor from which the products were actually purchased.

Report Data

Column Field Data Description
SKU ProductID Shows the product’s SKU. For Shadow Products, this column depends on the Use Original ProductID Custom Filter.
*ASIN ASIN Shows the product’s Amazon Standard Identification Number (ASIN).
Product Name ProductName Shows the product’s name.
Product Type ProductTypeName Shows the Product Type.
Condition ConditionName Shows information about the Condition of the product.
*Vendor VendorName Shows the product’s Default Vendor. Other vendors you have purchased the product from are not listed in this column.
*Manufacturer ManufacturerName Shows the product’s Manufacturer.
*Manufacturer SKU ManufacturerSKU Shows the SKU of the manufacturer.
*Purchaser Purchaser Shows the Purchaser‘s contact email address.
Orders Count of OrderID Shows the total number of orders. Only shown if you summarize by Channel or Company. If the Date Type is:

  • Order – The total number of orders placed in this date range.
  • Ship – The total number of orders shipped in this date range.
Qty Sold Sum of Qty Shows the number of product units sold. If the Date Type is:

  • Order – The total number of product units on orders placed in this date range.
  • Ship – The total number of product units on orders shipped in this date range.
Sales Sum of GrandTotal Shows the sales Total of the product.
Subtotal Sum of SubTotal Shows the total amount of the product before any discounts, tax, shipping, etc.
Commission Sum of Commission Shows channel commission fees.

Only visible in the export. Follow the instructions outlined in step 8 of the Access and Customize the Report section.
*Shipping Cost Sum of original Shipping Cost Shows the cost of outbound shipping.

  • For FBA – This includes the following types of fees: FBA Per Unit Fulfillment Fee, FBA Weight Based Fee, FBA Per Order Fulfillment Fee, Shipping Chargeback, Gift Wrap Chargeback, and Cross-Border Fulfillment Fee.
Enabling Predict shipping cost of an order in Client Settings will calculate an Estimated Shipping Cost based on the last 30 days. When the Shipping Cost field is marked with an E, this indicates the Estimated Shipping Cost is being shown.
On Order OnOrder Shows the number of units that are currently unreceived on open POs.
Available Qty InventoryAvailableQty Shows the number of units available for sale.
Reserved Qty ReservedQty Shows the inventory that has been Reserved.
Physical Qty ReservedQty + InventoryAvailableQty Shows the current total inventory of the product across warehouses, including units that are ordered but not shipped yet.
*Package Weight Weight Shows the weight of the packages.
You can add columns listed with an asterisk (*) to the grid by following the instructions outlined in step 5 of the Access and Customize the Report section.
