Get Info From Walmart

Overview

The Get Info from Walmart feature allows you to import limited information from your Walmart Marketplace listings directly into your products in Sellercloud. This functionality can be used either individually or in bulk and the following product properties will be imported:

  • Product Name

  • Product Title

  • Images

  • List Price

  • Manufacturer SKU

  • UPC

  • Brand

  • Short Description

  • Long Description


Prerequisites

Before you can get information from Walmart, your products must have their WPID (Walmart Product Item ID) field populated in Sellercloud. Once a product is listed on Walmart Marketplace, the WPID will be automatically updated through the active listings report.

Walmart Marketplace Setting Enable Active Listings Download must be enabled for this workflow.

Manual modifications or bulk updates to the WalmartAPIWPID are restricted.

In addition, you must integrate your Walmart Affiliate account into Sellercloud:

  1. Complete the registration required by Walmart to create an Affiliate Account.

  2. Go to Company Settings.

  3. Click Toolbox and select Walmart Marketplace > General Settings.

  4. Click Actions and select Download Walmart Affiliates API Public Key.

  5. Log into your Walmart Affiliate account at https://walmart.io/.

  6. From the Menu on the left, select Applications.

  7. Click Create Applications.

  8. Enter the required application details:

    • Application's name - For example, Sellercloud-[your-company-name].

    • Company's name - Your company's name.

    • Description - A brief description of the application.

    • Application's type - Web Application.

    • Number of users - Usually 1 to 10.

  9. Click Submit Form.

  10. Once the application is created, click the Upload/Update Public Key button.

  11. On the Upload Your Public Key page, set the Environment Type to Production, and paste the key from the WalmartAffiliateAPIPublicKey.txt file from Step 4 into the Public Key field.

  12. Once you save the public key, you’ll be brought back to the User Dashboard. Now, copy the value of the Product Consumer ID field.

  13. Back in Sellercloud, enter your Consumer ID into the Affiliates API Consumer ID field.

  14. Click Actions and select Test Product Search Key to confirm the connection.


Get Info From Walmart

When you get information from Walmart, it’s important to consider whether you want to overwrite any existing product details or not. The following two Client Settings can be enabled to allow Sellercloud to overwrite information:

  • Enable Override Product Title When Getting Info From Amazon Or Walmart

  • Enable Override Product Info When Getting Info From Amazon Or Walmart

There are two ways to import product information from Walmart with the Affiliate API:

  • To update an already existing product, use the product-level action Get Info From Walmart.

  • To create a new product, use the product creation option called Creation via Channel.


Update Products

To update existing products, you can use the Get Info from Walmart action either individually or in bulk.

For individual products:

  1. Go to the Product Details Page.

  2. Click Toolbox and select Walmart Marketplace.

  3. Click Actions and select Get Info From Walmart.

For multiple products:

  1. Go to Catalog > Manage Catalog.

  2. Find products and check the boxes to select them.

  3. Click the blue Actions icon on the bottom right.

  4. Select Get Info from Walmart.


Create Products

For a new product, you can use the Creation Via Channel feature.

To get info from Walmart while creating a product:

  1. Go to Catalog > Add New Product.

  2. Keep the Creation via Channel tab selected.

  3. Set the Channel to Walmart Marketplace.

  4. Select the Company.

  5. Type in the channel-specific Keywords. To simplify this process, you can enter a listing’s URL, which automatically populates the Keywords field.

  6. Set the Search Source to the Affiliate API.

  7. Click Find Product.

  8. Select the product when it appears below.

  9. Click Create Product.

  10. Enter the SKU and select the item Type.

  11. Click Add Products.
