Overview
Shipping Price Templates in Sellercloud are company-level shipping cost rules that you can apply to your eBay listings. With these templates, you can set different conditions such as destination, item weight, and shipping service which allow you to standardize product fulfillment and further simplify your workflow. If you use Shipping Rate Tables, enabled through the eBay Attribute Defaults page in your company settings, we will ignore any shipping price template configuration.
Shipping Price Template
Before you can update your products, you need to create and configure your eBay Shipping Price Templates.
Create Template
To create a shipping price template:
- Navigate to Settings > Manage Companies > Open a Company > Toolbox > eBay Settings > Shipping Price Template.
- In the eBay Shipping Price Template panel, click the + icon to create a new template.
- In the additional dialog window, enter a name in the Template Name field and click Add.
Copy Template
You can duplicate existing price templates from one Sellercloud company to another. To copy a template, follow the steps below:
- Navigate to Settings > Manage Companies > Open a Company > Toolbox > eBay Settings > Shipping Price Template.
- In the eBay Shipping Price Template panel, click on the three dots icon at the top right and select Copy From Other Companies.
- From the additional dialog window, select a company from the Copy From Company dropdown and check one or more existing templates to copy.
- Once ready, click Copy Template.
Clone Template
To create a clone of an existing template:
- Navigate to Settings > Manage Companies > Open a Company > Toolbox > eBay Settings > Shipping Price Template.
- Select one or more existing templates to clone.
- In the eBay Shipping Price Template panel, click on the three dots icon at the top right and select Clone. This will create a new template called *Template Name* – Cloned.
Configure Template
Follow the steps below to configure the shipping rules of a template:
- Navigate to Settings > Manage Companies > Open a Company > Toolbox > eBay Settings > Shipping Price Template.
- Click the Pencil icon in the eBay Shipping Price Template panel to open a template.
- On the Edit Shipping Price Template page, select Flat Rate: Same for All Buyers or Calculated Rate: Cost Varies by Buyer Location in the Domestic Shipping panel.
- eBay lets you set flat rate shipping prices or calculated shipping rates based on the weight and dimensions of a product. We can automatically pull the product shipping weight and add it to the shipping price details.
- Select a domestic shipping service. You can choose between specific services like UPS Ground or general ones like Economy Shipping. If you choose the calculated rate option, you will only be able to select a specific carrier service.
- Enter the following values after each service you select:
- Cost – Shipping Cost;
- Handling – The cost of handling;
- Additional Item Cost – Shipping cost for each additional item shipped.
- Repeat the same steps for international shipping.
- Enter the case information including Package Type, Weight, and Dimensions in the Package Details panel.
- Select regions in the Additional Ship To Locations – Buyers Contact For Costs panel where customers have to contact a local customs office for additional costs such as duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees which are not part of the shipping cost.
- Select Ship To Locations that you want to include or exclude. This option is most commonly used to prevent fraud cases.
Assign Shipping Price Template
You can assign a shipping template to individual products or in bulk:
Individually
To assign a shipping price template to a product:
- Navigate to Catalog > Manage Catalog > Open a product > Toolbox > eBay Properties.
- Click Edit at the top right corner > Shipping Tab > From the Shipping Template dropdown, choose the preexisting template > Click Save.
In Bulk
To assign the same template to all of your listings simultaneously:
- Navigate to Settings > Manage Companies > Open a Company > Toolbox > eBay Settings > Shipping Price Template.
- Select a template from the existing templates grid.
- In the eBay Shipping Price Template panel, click on the three dots icon at the top right and select Update Products. This will generate a Queued Job. Once the job is completed, all of your products will have this template assigned on the eBay properties page.
- To push the updated shipping template to eBay in bulk, navigate to Catalog > Manage Catalog > Search products > Select products > From the Blue Circle icon at the bottom right of the page, use the Revise Shipping on eBay action.

If you are already using Shipping Rate Tables, enabled on the eBay Attribute Defaults page in your Company Settings, we will ignore any shipping price template configuration.
Shipping Price Template
Before you can start updating your Products, you will need to create and configure your eBay Shipping Price Templates.
Create Template
To create a shipping price template in the Alpha Interface:
- Navigate to Settings > Open a Company > Toolbox > eBay Settings > Shipping Price Template.
- Add a name in the Template Name field and click Create New Template.
Configure Template
- Within the template, select Flat Rate: Same for All Buyers or Calculated Rate: Cost Varies by Buyer Location in the Domestic Shipping section.
- eBay lets you set flat rate shipping prices or calculated shipping rates based on the weight and dimensions of a product. We can automatically pull the product shipping weight and add it to the shipping price details.
- Select a domestic shipping service. You can choose between specific services like UPS Ground or general ones like Expedited Shipping or One-Day Shipping. If you choose the Calculated Rates option, you can only select a specific carrier service.
- Enter the following values after each service you select:
- Cost – Shipping Cost.
- Handling – The cost of handling.
- Additional Item Cost – Shipping cost for each additional item shipped.
- Repeat the same steps for international shipping.
- Select Additional Ship To Locations where the buyer has to contact a local customs office for additional costs like duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees which are not included in the shipping cost.
- Enter the Package Details including Package Type, Weight, and Dimensions
- Select countries that you want to exclude from or include in the shipping template. This option is most commonly used to prevent fraud cases.
Assign Shipping Price Template
You can assign a shipping template to individual products or in bulk:
Individually
To assign a shipping price template to a single product:
- Navigate to Inventory > Open a product > Toolbox > eBay Properties.
- From the Shipping Template dropdown, choose the preexisting template > Click Save at the bottom of the page.
In Bulk
To assign the same template to all of your listings simultaneously:
- Navigate to Settings > Open a Company > Toolbox > eBay Settings > Shipping Price Template.
- Select the desired shipping template and from the Actions menu choose Update Products, this will generate a Queued Job. Once the job is completed, all of your products will have this template assigned on the eBay properties page.
- To push the updated shipping templates to eBay in bulk, navigate to Inventory > Search Products > Select the desired products > From the Actions menu, select the action Revise Shipping on eBay > Click Go.
